Homosexuality

There are so many people struggling with homosexuality today.  Anyone who knows someone who is gay, will also know that being gay causes much pain and rejection from society.  Even though society claims that they “accept” gay’s, we all know that that is indeed not the case.  If we look at the Christian Bible we find several scriptures in the Bible that refers to homosexuality:

Rom 1:26  For this cause, God gave them up to dishonorable affections. For even their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature.

Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another; males with males working out shamefulness, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was fitting for their error.

Rom 1:28 And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right,

Rom 1:29  being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; being full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, evil habits, becoming whisperers,

Rom 1:30  backbiters, haters of God, insolent, proud, braggarts, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Rom 1:31  undiscerning, perfidious, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful;

Rom 1:32  who, knowing the righteous order of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but have pleasure in those practicing them.

1Ti 1:8  But we know that the law is good if a man uses it lawfully,

1Ti 1:9  knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous one, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

1Ti 1:10 for fornicators, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and anything else that is contrary to sound doctrine,

1Ti 1:11  according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

The Bible states here that the law is made for sinners such as homosexuals, to condemn them of their sin and show them that they need a Savior, Jesus Christ.

So is it then wrong to be gay?  Most gay people will just simply say” We’re born that way!”  Quote:

“To the extent that biological or social factors may contribute to a person’s bent toward homosexual behavior, this does not excuse it. Some people have a strong bent towards stealing or abuse of alcohol, but they still choose to engage or not engage in this behavior the law rightly holds them accountable.”

Jesus accepts all people, but he does not accept their sin.  All people are sinners and we all have to repent of our sins and ask Him to help us not to do them again.  Does this then mean that all gay’s go to hell and can’t be saved?  Off course not!  Jesus can save anybody!  But this also means that we must be obedient to His Word and turn away from our sinful lifestyles ex turn away from pornography, turn away from lying, steeling, murdering etc and so does the homosexual have to turn away from having same sex relations.  Its not the word “gay” that makes you a sinner but the actual sexual deed of having sex with another man / woman as well as imagining it.

Lev 20:13  If a man also lies with mankind, as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be on them.

In the story of Sodom and Gomorra, God destroyed the whole city because of the abomination of homosexual sin in it.

However, there is hope for the homosexual. God forgives and cleanses a person who repents and turns from their sin, including the sin of homosexual behavior. As well as forgiveness, God’s grace brings with it the power to live a life that is pleasing to God (Rom 6:6-7).  If repentance and reform are genuine, prior homosexual actions should not be a bar to church membership or ministry, as all Christians are reformed sinners.

God sent His only Son to earth to be crucified and died for our sin, so that we, if we believe in Him and live according to His Word, will be saved from eternal damnation and punishment from sin.  By receiving Jesus Christ you will be able to share in eternal life with Him.  You can also then call upon the Lord to help you withstand temptation from sin and He will help you and set you free from your sin, pain and shame.

If you want to give your life to Jesus, please pray this out loud now there where you are right now:

Dear God, I acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe that He was born of the Virgin Mary. I believe that He died on the cross, that His blood was shed for my sins and that He arose from the dead. I confess that I have disobeyed your commandments. I ask you to forgive me for these sins. I now ask Jesus to come into my heart. Be my Savior. Be my Lord. Be my soon coming King. I will do my best to obey your teachings as recorded in the Bible. Thank you, in Jesus name. Amen.

    your the problem with the world today, you and god preach acceptance well hun that includes sexual preference. being gay is not a sin, you make it out to be a choice well i know plenty of people who if they could have chose to not be gay they would have endured a lot less pain and suffering but its not a choice. your born that way and there is nothing you can do about it. instead of wasting your time running this horrible site, why dont you actually just accept people for who and how they are and get over your self rightious self.

      Hi there Virginia

      Jesus accepts all people. Gay’s, rapists, thieves, murderers etc. We as Christians should also accept all people, even though I will admit that not all of us always do. However that does not mean that Jesus accepts their sin! (having sexual relationships with same sex partners, raping, stealing, murdering etc) There are rapists that can also just come up with “I was born that way” Is that an excuse to give them the right to then rape as they please?
      Jesus accepts you, gay or not.
      Scripture says

      ” 2Ko 10:5 pulling down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ;

      Even though it feels “natural” for a gay person to do gay acts, the Word says that we must bring every thought in obedience to Christ, whether its a teenager struggling with a porn addiction, or a gay person having sexual thoughts towards another man/woman. We all are sinners and we all struggle with sin.

      Please look at this site, http://www.gayandsaved.com/index.htm , as I think this would be a real help to anyone struggling with homosexuality.

      Yes, being homosexual is a sin, but it is not unforgivable. Carmen is not being “self-righteous” she is following the law of God. Sexual “preference” to be gay is a choice made by man within his/her own heart; man’s own will, not the will of the Father. People are angry because there is not “gray area” in what God considers sin. This is not a horrible site. I wish more people would be strong enough to speak out and label sin and sin.
